Priced per node, never per tag.
Annual licenses. Add a tag, a flow or a protocol connection and the price stays the same.

What a license covers.
A node is one running OpexFlow instance: one deployed binary on one host (an edge gateway, a Raspberry Pi, a VM or a server). One node license covers unlimited flows, tags and protocol connections on that host.
Hosting OpexFlow for your own customers needs OEM or SaaS partner terms, which are available separately.
Enterprise terms, up front
The flat rate covers unlimited sites and nodes, subject to these terms.
- Single legal entityLicensed to one named company or corporate group. Affiliates and subsidiaries under common ownership are included.
- Internal use onlyDeploy within your own operations and OT environment: plants, sites and edge gateways you own or operate.
- No resale or re-hostingNot for redistribution, white-labeling, or offering OpexFlow as a service to third parties.
- No multi-tenant SaaSEach external customer or tenant requires its own license.
- Non-transferableBound to the licensed entity; cannot be sold, leased or shared with unaffiliated organizations.

Does it phone home?
Only for license checks, and only when license enforcement is enabled: the key is validated against flow.opexcg.com on start and the result is cached. A signed offline token keeps it running through an outage for the number of days you configure.
Prometheus SLA metrics are in every build. OpenTelemetry export and stall alerts belong to the separate telemetry build and go where you point them.
Node-RED and n8n are free. Why pay?
For a flow that one developer on your team owns and where a lost record is cheap, a free tool may be enough. Both give you a canvas and a node library.
You pay for the parts you would otherwise design, build, test and maintain around them: signature-checked intake, idempotency, durable ordered delivery, dead-letter repair and replay, reconciliation reports, tested deploys, printer drivers, and a vendor to call. Whether you can build those yourself is a question of time and skill, not of possibility. The license is per node, not per tag or per flow.
Does the price change with tags, flows or connections?
No. A node license covers unlimited flows, tags and protocol connections on that host. The price moves with the number of nodes, meaning the number of hosts that run OpexFlow.
What happens if the license server is unreachable?
A signed token cached on the node keeps it running through the outage. The window is 7 days by default, set with offline_grace_days, and 0 turns offline running off.
A license the server has refused as revoked, expired or suspended stops data flowing, and the grace window does not cover it.
Can I host OpexFlow for my own customers?
Not under the Enterprise license, which is for your own operations. Hosting it for customers, white-labeling it or offering it as a service needs OEM or SaaS partner terms, which are available separately. Each external customer or tenant needs its own license.
From download to first record in minutes.
Run one binary, connect a PLC, a CNC or a webhook, and watch the records arrive in the editor.
- One binary
- Raspberry Pi to rack server
- Signed delivery with retries
